Younger People More Likely to Use Mobile Healthcare

Younger people are more likely to call NHS Direct on their mobiles than make an appointment to see their GP, a study by the Imperial College, supported by Vodafone, has revealed.

In a follow-up to my previous post regarding SMS and the NHS, Vodafone must have a scent of the money the government is injecting for connecting for health. ;-) Is it just me, or is this a case of the very obvious supported by the money of interested parties?

Also, I will be at the RSM London for their "Handhelds for Doctors" day. If you're attending, come and say Hi!

Apple iPhone...For Real?

According to Harry McCracken at PC World, it might be.

Australian site Smarthouse is reporting that insiders at a Taiwanese manufacturing center are saying that Apple is definitely working on its own phone.

Harry writes, "I'll believe it when Steve Jobs pulls it from his jeans pocket at a keynote and pronounces it incredible, but it does seem like a logical move. I'm not sure if there's a single phone in the world that's at good at doing what it does as the iPod is at doing what it does. A terrific music phone could be the kind of game-changing product that's Apple's core competency."

Let's just hope it looks better than this. ;-)
