Skyscape has announced a multi-year strategic relationship with eMedicine, the producer of the eMedicine Clinical Knowledge Base and one of the top online services for health care professionals, to make all of eMedicine's peer-reviewed content available to medical professionals on their handheld computers.
eMedicine content includes 7,000 disease-specific monographs, representing all major medical specialties. "With new treatments and interactions discovered and published everyday, medical professionals need continually updated clinical resources, such as eMedicine's Clinical Knowledge Base. Our partnership with Skyscape enables medical practitioners to access this information how and when they need iton their PDAs at the point of care," said Jonathan Adler, MD, president of eMedicine. "Now physicians can access the same peer-reviewed content available from eMedicine on their handhelds by using Skyscape's technology. PDAs significantly improve access to medical knowledge."
Beginning early in the second quarter of this year, peer-reviewed eMedicine content powered by Skyscape will be available for purchase and download at either www.skyscape.com or www.emedicine.com. The user's annual subscription will include quarterly content updates, ensuring access to current information for use at the point of care. Users will be automatically notified of content updates via Skyscape's smARTupdate (auto-update) application.
