What's with the name change, you ask? Well, I had my day brightened by a "cease and desist" letter from a busy little trademark law firm representing some company I'd never heard of, but who just happened to have trademarked the term "Peripheral Brain." It seems they have "built a great deal of good will and made the trademark PERIPHERAL BRAIN famous in the medical field." Somehow they've managed this feat without me ever being made aware of their existence; go figure. Apparently, my little free web site "constitutes trademark infringement, unfair competition and dilution. This will not only cause XYZ Company [not their real name] theoretical [emphasis mine] harm, but weakens the trademark PERIPHERAL BRAIN and misleads consumers." So tell me...were any of you confused?
